Mrs. Irma Jean Reynolds Taylor departed this life Monday, November 18, 2019 at Community Compassion Center of Batesville, AR at the age of 82.

Mrs. Irma Taylor, daughter of the late Thomas Reynolds and Annie Mitchell Reynolds Newman was born October 26, 1937 in Dalton, AR. She was a long-standing resident of Pocahontas, attended Pocahontas High School and graduated with the class of 1955. She was united in matrimony to Billy Gene Taylor of Pocahontas in 1960. This union was blessed with one son, Michael Lee Taylor and one grandson, Zachary Lee Taylor.

Mrs. Taylor was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Pocahontas for many years. She also worked at many of the factories in the area making her start at Brown Shoe Factory. After retirement she spent many happy days with friends at the Pocahontas Senior Citizens. She enjoyed line dancing with the Granny Dancers and another favorite pastime was square-dancing. Her contagious laugh, gracious heart and keen spirit of fun is fondly remembered, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her son, Michael Lee Taylor.

She is survived by her grandson, Zachary Lee Taylor and two great grandsons of Pocahontas. She is also survived by her two sisters, Geneva Reynolds Winebaugh of Big Rock, IL and Elveta Reynolds Irving Fields of Pocahontas.

All friends and family are invited to visitation at McNabb Funeral Home Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 2-4 pm. Funeral service will be on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 10 am with Pastor Eric Moffett from First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. There will also be a luncheon at the First Baptist Church of Pocahontas for friends and relatives from 12-1 pm following the burial of Mrs. Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Zack Taylor, Ryan Mosty, Jess Bishop, Wayne Thielemier, B.W. Bennett and Kendale Bennett.
