Mrs. Lena Irene Salyards, daughter of the late Francis Marion and Mary Elizabeth Henderson Sharp, was born November 24, 1918 at Ravenden. She departed this life December 27, 2007 at the age of 89 years. An infant son, a grandson Steven Salyards, brothers, Homer Sharp, Marvin Sharp, Ernest Sharp, J. B. Sharp and an infant, sisters, Marie Colbert, Alta Eubank, Juanita Linebaugh, Bessie Sharp and Mabel Sharp, also preceded her in death. She is survived by: Husband of 70 years - Loyd Cleyon Salyards of the home 3 Sons - Don Salyards and wife, Jackie, of Pocahontas Dallas Salyards and wife Betty, of San Angelo, TX Jimmy Salyards and wife, Lucrecia, of Reyno 4 Daughters - Mary Colletta and husband, Bob, of Fallbrook, CA Glenda Thornberry and husband, David, of Fayetteville Phyllis Davis and husband, Michael, of Pocahontas Teresa Kirkland and husband, Michael, of Siloam Springs Grandchildren - Veronica Shrum, Mike Salyards, Alan Salyards, Becky Geffers, Sheryl Colletta, Errol Mooney, Jr. , Michelle Greene, Patti Williams, Anthony Thornberry, Jeffrey Thornberry, Shelly Gann, Cindi Coates, Amy Allen, Blake McGinnis, Stephen Kirkland, Spencer Kirkland and Whitney Kirkland Mrs. Salyards also leaves two step grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Services will be 2pm Sunday in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Bill Gray and Jerry Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 Saturday at the funeral home.
