Pocahontas- Ira Melvin Mitchell, 68, son of the late Clarence and Edna Mitchell passed away Monday at his home. He was preceded by his parents, son Michael Mitchell, brothers Nelson, Leo, and Lavern Mitchell and 2 sisters, Alois Whitt and Louise McElroy. He is survived by his wife Carlene Golliver Mitchell, 3 daughters Shelia (Donald) Prater of Hardy, Candi (Chuck) Lundry of Mountain Home and Kelly Moore of Naylor, MO, 7 grandchildren Tyler and Hannah Lundry of Mountain Home, Whitney and Chloe Mitchell of Naylor,MO, Shaunda, Peyton and Madison of Washington and Isaac of Hardy, one brother Jerry Mitchell of Haiti,Mo and special nephew, Cory Golliver of Pocahontas. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral home with Stan Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 at the funeral home. Leon Alphin, Tommy Gamblin, Dean Turner, Ivan Woods, Billy Warren and Ted Grissom will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Scott Mitchell, Chad Alphin, James Cissell and Sonny Bramlett
