Jonesboro- Imogene Jordan, 96, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at her home with her children by her side.
She was born July 29, 1924 in Sedgwick to the late Ferd and Sylvia Keel West and was raised by Ferd and Elsie West. She was a homemaker who enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, going to garage sales and flea markets. Mrs. Jordan was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Jonesboro. She loved her church family and attending church when she was able.
She is survived by a son, Leston Ferd Jordan (Frances); a daughter, Terry Clark (Mark); a daughter-in-law, Linda Jordan; ten grandchildren, Pam Wheaton (Keith), Jeff Jordan (Kristy), Sheila Brady (Todd), Mark Jordan (Lindsey), Darlene Leonard (Matt), Christy Long (Ryan), Stephane Frey (Eric), Joey Seymour (Andrea), Keith Jordan (Amy) and Brian Jordan; several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and many other family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leston M. Jordan; two sons, Larry Jordan and Jerry Jordan; two brothers, J.R. West and Milburn West; two sisters, Virginia Shelton and Sarah Jeans and a great-granddaughter, Kyria Seymour.
A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Monday, February 1, 2021 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Kevin Barnett and Carson Outlaw officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery near Bono.
The visitation will be from 12:30 until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeff Jordan, Mark Jordan, Eric Frey, Joey Seymour, Alec Taylor and Spencer Long.
All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
