Maynard- Hershel Eugene (Gene) Chesser 83 Son of the late Marion Clyde and Ada Chesser passed away Friday at his home. He was preceded by his parents infant son 3 brothers Raymond Chesser ,Lehman Chesser, Doyle Chesser and 3 sisters Hazel Surles, Ina Tribble and Louise Smith and 1 Granddaughter Misty Barnett. He is survived by his wife Clara Chesser of 59 years they were married April 24, 1954 . 2 sons Charles Chesser and wife Margaret of Maynard, Michael Chesser and wife Joyce of Pocahontas 3 daughters Kathy Barnett and Husband Randle of Warm Springs Janice Halliburton and Husband Pawnee of Maynard and Teresa Kester and Husband Lee of Thayer ,Mo 18 grandchildren 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. 2 brothers Dean Chesser of Lancaster,Ca and Rick Chesser of Okean, Ar 2 sisters Meggie Wall of Walnut Ridge and Linda Bradley of Walnut Ridge. He was faithful Member of Stokes Church of Christ for 42 years.He loved Listening to his Beagle dogs run, playing dominoes, watching westerns , enjoyed spending time with his kids grandkids and family. Memorials can be made to the Paragould Childrens Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8 , Service will be Monday at 11:00 Am at The Chapel of McNabb Funeral home with Ben Williams and Gary Buxton officiating Burial will follow at the Chesser Cemetery.
