Black Rock- Herman Wayne Jones, 80, passed on from this life on March 18, 2025 at St. Bernards Hospital. He was born on December 13, 1944 to the late Raymond and Virginia Jones.

Herman retired from Hytrol as a machine operator. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his free time, and he loved his family.

He leaves behind his wife Jewel Jones; two sons Jerry Wayne (Makinna) Jones  and Garry Lynn Jones; a sister-in-law Bonnie Garner; nine grandchildren, two nieces and three nephews.

He is preceded in death by one daughter Kreccia Jones; his step-father Dude Garner, his mother Virginia Garner, a sister Doris Angel; a brother Loyd Garner; two aunts Lois Parnell and Lavern Wallace; one uncle Herman Wallace; one niece and nephew, and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home on Monday March 24, 2025 from 1-2 pm. A funeral service will follow starting at 2 pm with Gary Dauzat officiating. He will be laid to rest in Herman Cemetery.
