Pocahontas- Herbert Edward Turner, 89, entered into eternal peace June 12, 2014. Herbert was born April 29, 1925 to the late John and Elma Foster Turner in Biggers, AR. Herbert has many achievements and member of several groups in life; WWII Veteran, Military Order of the Purple Heart, VFW, State Police, Gideon's International, 41 years as a Sunday school teacher, and his special friends in the 166 Caf coffee club. He was a loving father and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and loved to hunt. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Bessie Turner, daughter Lana (Kenneth) Kimbro, sons John (Karla) Turner and Terry (Patricia) Turner, grandchildren; Jamie (Eric) Pistel, Eric (Barbara) Turner, Jason (Rhonda) Turner, Lisa Turner, Nicholas Tramel, 7 great grandchildren, brother Earl (Ann) Witcher, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father John Turner, mother Elma Foster Turner, step-father George Witcher, and brother Harold Witcher. Visitation will be Saturday, June14, 2014 from 11:00-2:00 P.M. at McNabb Funeral Home Chapel, immediately following a graveside service at Randolph Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Randy Scott officiating. Arkansas State Police will be presenting the flag and honors.
