Henry George Dust, 82, of Pocahontas, passed away Tuesday July 7, 2020 at his home.

He was born January 4, 1938 in Pocahontas to the late George Steven and Helen Emma Weisenbach Dust.

Henry lived his life in generous service to his family, countless friends, and community. He served on the Pocahontas City Council, and then as a Randolph County Justice of the Peace for more than 25 years. He was a volunteer firefighter for over 25 years, retiring as Captain.

As a lifelong member of St. Paul, the Apostle Catholic Church, he served the parish in many ways. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and held numerous offices in the organization. Henry was an avid gardener, hunter, and fisherman and had numerous friends throughout the county due to his 50 years of service at Baltz Equipment Company.

Henry is survived by his wife, Rita Catherine Baltz Dust; children, George (Nancy) Dust, Louise (Bill) Fields, Matt Dust, Helen (Mohamed) Higazy, Christie (Paul) Yemma, and Doug (Hanna) Dust; grandchildren, Ryan (Leah) Dust, Russell (Stephanie) Dust, Nicole (Chris) Neil, Michael (Stacy) Davidson, Hailey (David) Kemmerer, Katie (Titus) Jones, Magi Higazy, Linda Higazy, Tena Higazy, Jennifer (Josh) Colella, Katie Grace Dhority, and Laurel Dhority; great-grandchildren Anders and Everett Dust, Cora Neil, Aiden and Emma Davidson, and Lilly Colella; sisters Mary Helen (John) Jackson, JoAnn (Sam) Manis, and Roberta (Danny) Waymon; brothers Ray Dust, and Edward (Jan) Dust; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home, Rosary will follow at 7:00 P.M. Mass will be Friday, July 10th, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul Church with Father Stephen Elser officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
