Jonesboro - Helen Marie Tomlinson, 83, departed this life Thursday morning, February 11, 2021, at the St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born October 02, 1937 in Jonesboro, the daughter of the late M.M. Allen and Ola King. A native of Jonesboro, Helen graduated Jonesboro High School in 1955. She married A.L. Tomlinson in 1964 and they enjoyed 50 years together before his death in 2014. Helen worked and retired from General Electric after 38 years of service. She enjoyed crafting and was known to be able to make anything. She loved to design cakes and arrange flowers and sewing. She attended the Highland Drive Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, M.M. Allen and Ola King Allen; her husband, A.L. Tomlinson, and two brothers, Daniel Allen and Bill Allen.

She is survived by one son, Brant Tomlinson (Shelly) of Jonesboro; two sisters-in-law, Linda Allen of Jonesboro and Becky Coggin (Don) of Bono; three grandchildren, Tucker Tomlinson of Jonesboro, Victoria Ameling (Joshua) of Lonoke, and Barry "B.J." White, Jr. of Conway and two great grandchildren, Evalynne Ameling and Peach Ameling.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 p.m Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends from noon until time of service Saturday.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Field, Joshua Ameling, Victoria Ameling, Jonathan Allen, Tucker Tomlinson, Jerry Adams, and Barry "B.J." White, Jr..
