Pocahontas- Helen McCarroll, 93, passed away July 10, 2017 at Five Rivers Medical Center.

Helen was born March 2, 1924 in Birdell, AR to Will and Rose Shockley Young.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roland McCarroll; son, Kenneth McCarroll; grandson, Thaddeus McCarroll; brothers, Leo Young, Ed Young, Melvin Young; sisters, Ottie Johnson, and Aggie Young.

She is survived by children, Charles (Roberta) McCarroll, Rodney (Connie) McCarroll, Charlene McCarroll, Mary McCarroll, Betsy McCarroll Johnson, Brenda McCarroll Benford; grandchildren, Kevin McCarroll, DeAnna Johnson, Kesia Benford, Frankie Amaefule, Alyssa Armstead; great grandchildren, Donnovon Tinnin, Karson Harris, Kam Price; loved as her own, OW and Robin Lewis; sisters, Beatrice Shockley, Mary Lou Parker, Lois Johnson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

There will be a visitation on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 3-6 pm at McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Another visitation will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Pyburn Street Church of Christ from 10-11 am with a funeral immediately following at 11am with Mitch Walton officiating. Burial in Hardin Cemetery.
