Monette- Helen Faye Couch Adams, 87, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.
She was born July 6, 1936 in Caraway to the late Clay and Bonnie Kirby Killough. Helen was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church. She held several positions throughout her adulthood. She had worked on the farm, at Basler Electric and was an assistant clerk at the Rivervale Post Office. The job that she adored most was where she and her husband, James managed the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Camp during the 80's. They made many friends there both young and old.
Helen was full of life and didn't meet a stranger. She absolutely loved talking with anyone.
She was survived by her son, Dewayne Couch (Vickie); daughter-in-law, Diane Couch; a sister, Barbara McGoff (Earl); grandchildren, Jennifer Smith (Anthony), Jeremy Couch (Amber), Curtis Couch (Aimee) and Trevor Couch (Victoria); great-grandchildren, Jace Couch, Eli Couch, Kane Taylor, Max Smith and Maggie Smith and several nieces and nephews who she adored.
She was also preceded in death by her husbands, James Couch and Charles Adams; a son, Tommy Couch and sister, Geneva Mangrum.
A celebration of her life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Rev. Stan Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at Potter's Cemetery in Lepanto.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Fred Couch, Terry Couch, Randy Couch, Billy Mooney, Billy Bobbitt and Larry Mason.
