Humble, TX- Mrs Hazel Bates Shivley, 93 ,devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend peacefully joined our Lord on Saturday, July 25 2009 in Humble,Tx while surrounded by loved ones. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Nixon Shivley, and is survived by her four children Nancy Tomlinson of Three Rivers,Mi, Marylnn Holloway of League City,Tx, Nixon Shivley Jr. Of West Memphis, Ar , Von Shivley of Memphis, TN and 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many nephews and nieces. A native of Pocahontas,Arkansas, born to Dan and Mary Lou Bates along with 6 brothers and 3 sisters, Hazel is fondly remembered by family and friends for her witty humor, gracious demeanor an loving nature. Visitation for Hazel will be on Monday, July 27 for 5:00-7:00 p.m. at McNabb Funeral Home and Funeral Services will be held Tuesday July 28, at 2:00 PM with Rockey Starnes officiating Burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery with Rockey Starnes officiating.
