Hazel Virginia Moore, 83 of Pocahontas passed away October 21, 2021, at her home.

Hazel was born November 6, 1937, to the late Edward and Thelma Marney Pogue in Pocahontas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fermon "Arky" Moore; daughter, Melody Ann Land; and brother, Lawrence Ray Pogue.  She worked as a cook at Hosman's Dairy Center and was a member of New Hope Assembly of God.

She is survived by her son, Robert Dale Pitman of St. Louis, MO; three grandchildren, Wayne Pitman of Pocahontas, Amber Land of Pocahontas, and Lee Land of Pocahontas; eight great grandchildren; siblings Lavon "Curley" Pogue of Pocahontas, Perry Hutsell of Pocahontas, and Alma Dorn of Oklahoma; and son-in-law Jackie Land of Pocahontas; special friends Vernon and Paula Nicholson.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 10-11 AM in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service beginning at 11 AM with Gaylon Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
