Pocahontas - Hattie Bell Botard, 84, passed away October 18, 2009 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Born February 27, 1925 in Willow Springs, TX to the late Aaron and Annie Mae Hoot. She is preceded in death by husband, Allen William Botard. Brothers; Douglas, Cecil, James, and Leonard Hoot. Sisters; Sudie Frye and Molly Wallace. She is survived by sons; Calvin (Brenda) Botard of Dalton, Melvin (Sandra) Botard of Yukkon, MO, Melburn (Bonita) Botard of Pocahontas, Elton (Cindy) Botard of Thayer, MO. Daughters; Carolyn "Ruth" (Cal) Brace of Rockwall, TX and Sheila (Jason) Nier of Pocahontas. 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Brothers; David Hoot of Oakhurst, TX, Robert Hoot of Houston, TX. Sisters; Florence Canalito of Spring, TX, Addie "Bea" Hopkins of Oakhurst, TX, Mrytle "Sis" Smith of Huntsville, TX and Robbie Meadows of Houston, TX. Services will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Burial will follow to Wells Cemetery in Dalton with Randy Scott and Carl Massey officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8.
