Pocahontas- Harvey Lee Hill, 80, passed away September 17, 2014. Harvey was born September 2, 1934 to the late Cunningham and Doris Pickens Hill in Osceola, Arkansas. There wasn't a day that went by that Harvey Hill didn't touch the hearts of others. He held friends and students close with his endearing sense of humor. Harvey will be forever remembered as a loving hisband, father, grandfather, and sibling. Harvey was a Arkansas State football player, high school coach, educator and administrator. He was a Army veteran from 1957-1959. " A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty." Author Unknown Harvey is survived by his loving wife Rebecca Mae Johnston-Hill of the home, daughters; Lee Ann Cheadle of Pocahontas, Julie (Mike) Campbell of Pocahontas, grandchildren; Jamey Cheadle of Pocahontas, Trent Morledge of Pocahontas, Will Morledge of Pocahontas, brother; Jerry (Marion) Hill of Germantown, TN, sister Diane (Roy) Permenter of Springtown, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cunningham Hill and Doris Hill. Services will be held in McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held immediately following at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Rocky Starnes officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens.
