Pocahontas- Harold Gene McClanahan, 75, of Pocahontas, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
He was born July 4, 1942 in Kennett, Missouri to the late Harold and Marie Branch McClanahan. He was a mechanic and served in the National Guard.
He was preceded by his parents and one brother, James McClanahan
He is survived by his wife, Lovilla McClanahan of the home; daughter, Regina (Vance) Cartwright of Ravenden Springs; son, James McClanahan of Pocahontas; stepchildren, Donna (Roger) Guthrie of Pocahontas, Janet Crum of Pocahontas, Brenda Holland of Austin, AR, and Michael (Janet) Parrish of Hamil; grandchildren, Chris Godsey, Timothy Godsey, Jessica Martin, Echo McIntare, Joe Cartwright, Melanie Mitchell, and Catherine McClanahan; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Keith McClanahan; one sister Carolyn Stout, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, October 20, 2017 from 1-2 pm at McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral service immediately following at 2 pm with Randy Lingenfelter officiating. Burial will be in McIlroy Cemetery.
Pallbearers include: Joe Cartwright, Thomas Crum, Chris Godsey, Timothy Godsey, Derek Martin, and Rodney Smith.
