Monette- Harold Bowden, 91, passed on from this life on March 17, 2025 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born on July 14, 1933 to the late Jake and Edna Mae Bowden.

Harold was a retired radar specialist with the U.S Army.  He was a member of the American Legion in Monette #136 and Hardy #366.  After he retired, he drove a truck and tractor. He loved farming and listening to country music but not as much as he loved his family and friends.

He is survived by two daughters; Suzanne Williams of Monette and Patricia Bowden of El Paso, TX; one son Brian (Kim) Bowden of Altus, OK; five grandchildren Chad (Elizabeth) Williams of Lake City, Katelyn (Brendan) Despain of Lake City, Frankie Ricci of El Paso, TX, Brian Ricci of El Paso, TX, and Carrie Natasha Bolar of Monette, as well as six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bowden was preceded in death by his wife Alice Bowden; four brothers J.T Bowden, Paul Bowden, Rueben Bowden, and Junior Lee Bowden; and one sister Evelyn Jo Barham.

Visitation will be Friday March 21, 2025 at 1 pm at Monette Church of Christ. A memorial service will follow at 2 pm. There will be a committal ceremony at Monette Cemetery following service with military honors. The services will be under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home.
