Black Oak- Hannah Pauline Jones, 98, passed away March 8, 2019 in Lake City. She was born August 18, 1920 in Black Oak to the late Thomas and Fannie Webb Earnhart. Pauline was a Charter member of Black Oak Baptist Church. She worked for the cooperative extension office through ASU and was very involved in her church and her community.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Jones of Black Oak; daughter, Sherry Defries and husband Rector of Lake Cormorant, MS; grandsons, Robin Defries and wife Laurie and Robert Bryan Defries and wife Amy; five great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Roy Jones; brothers, Dewayne, Herbert "Junior", Ralph and William Paul Earnhart and sister, Christeen Cobb; a grandson, Joshua Defries.

A memorial service will be 2:00 Saturday March 16, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church in Black Oak with Gary Paul Earnhart officiating under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home. Interment will be in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Robin, Bryan, Caleb, Nicholas, Bradley and Hayden Defries.
