Jonesboro- Glenna Berry, 80, passed from this life on Monday, March 31, 2014. She was born July 23, 1933 in Poughkeepsie to the late Glenn and Sylvia Campbell. Glenna and her late husband of 56 years, Thurlo Berry, were retired owners of the Tupperware distributorship in Jackson, Mississippi: Delta Party Sales. After retiring in 1992, Glenna and Thurlo returned "home" to Arkansas, residing in Jonesboro. Glenna was an active member of the Southwest Church of Christ, the Craighead County Book Club, the Geneaology Society of Craighead County Arkansas, the Sharp County Historical Society, the Daughters of the American Revolution, volunteered with the Craighead County Friends of the Library, and many other social and charitable organizations. Glenna was the author of a geneaological history of the Campbell family pioneers of Arkansas, and she traveled the state giving many entertaining and information speeches on how to document and deliver family stories and histories. Glenna was also a member of the Loose Threads Quilt Club and made many beautiful quilts for family as well as for charitable donations. Glenna is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Becky and Ernest Anaya of Atlanta, GA and Ann and Terry Perkins of Jackson, Mississippi; a grandson, Thurlo Timothy Berry of the home; a great-grandson, Thurlo Aidan Berry of Atlanta; four sisters and their husbands, Jan and Tom Phillips of Wilmington NC, Rita and Johnny Murph of Dallas, Texas, Mary Frances and Gary Wallace of Dallas, Donna Sue and Bob Zinn of Wichita, Kansas; a brother, Roland and Phyllis Campbell; brother-in-law, Tommy and wife Beautonne Berry of Dallas and sister-in-law, Carolyn Sockwell of Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurlo Buddy Berry Jr. and a grandson, Jonathan Philip Perkins. A celebration of her life will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Adcox officiating. Burial to follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday April 3 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews Ave. Glenna will be remembered for her loving generosity, devoted friendship, and dedicated Christian faith. Do not say that we "lost" Glenna, because "Christ in her and Christ in me, together we will always be."
