Obituary

Jonesboro- Glenda Johnson Eldridge, 68, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

She was born March 5, 1949 in Jonesboro to the late Cecil and Pearl Cragg Johnson. Glenda graduated Nettleton High School in 1967. She was the librarian and media specialist at Westside Schools for many years. Mrs. Eldridge attended Nettleton Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

Glenda is survived by her son, Dr. Drew Eldridge and his wife Kara of Edmond, Oklahoma; three grandsons, Ethan, Cooper, and Miles Eldridge of Edmond; two sisters and their husbands, Wilma and Ron Freeman and Mavis and Jim Stark all of Jonesboro; a nephew, Todd Freeman; three nieces, Michelle Cliff, Melissa St. Clair and Autumn Baker all of Jonesboro; and beloved companion and fur baby, Claire.

Glenda was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Eldridge who passed November 1, 2016.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday November 11, 2017 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
