Jonesboro- Glen Edwards, 82, passed Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

He was born March 29, 1936 in Whitehall to the late Roy and Jimmie Lee Garner Edwards. He graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1955 and served in the Navy Reserves in Millington, Tennessee. Glen retired after thirty-six years as manager of Engineering with Hytrol Conveyor Company. He enjoyed old cars, traveling, and wood working. He was a member of Otwell Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Sharon Hall Edwards; a daughter, Meredith Malone (Jason) of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Sam Malone, Beau Malone and Jewels Malone; a brother, Wayne Edwards (Lavada) of Clarksville, Mississippi and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

He also was preceded in death by a daughter, who passed on May 23, 1977, Sarah Elizabeth Edwards.

A celebration of his life will be 1:30 pm Friday, May 25, 2018 at Otwell Christian Church with Jim Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at McDaniel Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until time of service Friday at the church.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dean Snyder, Franklin Pickle, J. R. Pickle, King Benson, Mark Edwards and Jerry Lewis and as honorary pallbearers, Bill Gott, Ray Erwin, Leon Swihart, Filbert Pickle, Hall Boys, Hytrol Employees, Dale Alexander, Lindy Alexander, Will Alexander, Daryl Hane and Creston Snyder.
