POCAHONTAS-Gladys Lorene Pickett, 92, died Tuesday at Pocahontas Health Care and Rehab. She was born March 26, 1916 at Ravenden to the late Richard Ray and Noma Spotts Pickett. She was a retired beautician and a member of the First Baptist Church in Pocahontas. Three brothers, William Spotts Pickett, John Glenn Pickett and Charles Ray Pickett, and a niece, Mary Virginia Pickett, also preceded her in death. Survivors include a brother, Joseph E. Pickett of Ravenden Springs, two sisters, Elizabeth Stubblefield of Pocahontas and Geneva Bottoms of Wichita, KS, sister-in-law, Patsy Pickett of Pocahontas, three nephews, Brian G. Pickett, Gary J. Pickett and Richard M. Pickett and four nieces, Mary Jo Gwaltney, Mona Stecklein, Sheri Midkiff and Dr. Karen Pickett. Services will be held at 10am Saturday in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Don Strait officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery with Gary Pickett, Joshua Pickett, David Midkiff, Joseph Midkiff, Steve Case and Bill Mitchell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian and Colton Pickett. Visitation will be 5-7 Friday at the funeral home.
