Jonesboro- Gladys Pauline Moudy, 96, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Flo \u0026 Phil Jones Hospice House.
Pauline was born January 9, 1923 in Jonesboro to the late John Wesley and Flora Lois Dona Marzee Minton Stevenson. She was a 1941 graduate of Jonesboro High School, where she was a star basketball player. Pauline worked at Liberty Cash Grocery Store right out of high school. Thereafter, she attended Jonesboro Business College where she graduated at the top of her class before moving to Washington D. C. during World War II, where she worked at the Pentagon. She enjoyed the picture shows, Elvis Presley, gospel music, country music, gardening and canning. She was a member of the Washington Ave Church of Christ. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
She was survived by two daughters, Patricia Rhein of Jonesboro and Debbie Little (Dennis) of Burleson, TX; five grandchildren, Kim Little of Ft. Worth, TX, Chris Little of Burleson, TX, Julie Potts (Jay) of Little Elm, TX, Scott Anthony Rhein (Melanie) of Ft. Wainwright, AK and Angela Howerton (Aaron) of Rogers, AR and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Moudy, and three brothers, Daniel Stevenson, Bud Stevenson and Cecil Stevenson.
A celebration of her life will be 10:00 am Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Old Enterprise Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
