Pocahontas - Gilbert Harris, 87, passed away December 12, 2011. Born April 19, 1924 to the late Lehman and Elmyra Harris. Preceded in death by two sons; Gary and James Harris, 3 sisters and one brother. Survived by wife of 66 years Wanda Harris of the home, Four sons; Rick of Huntsville, TX, Larry of Maynard, Jerry of Lapeer, MI and Bryan Harris of Davidson, MI. Two daughters; Gwenn Gilbert of Waterford, MI and Janette Willis of Republic, MO, 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, two brothers; James Harris of Maynard and Floyd Harris of Springfield, MO. Funeral service will be held December 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Tom Sorg officiating. Burial will follow in Harris Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8:00 p.m.
