Fisher- George Robert Wolf, 88, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020. He was a resident at The Springs in Jonesboro.
He was born February 21, 1932 in Waldenburg to the late Otto Alfred Wolf and Anna Koppies Wolf. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Waldenburg where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, council member and head usher for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He farmed with his brother and was a farm equipment mechanic.
He is survived by his three sons, Ray Wolf (Linda) of Jonesboro, Otto Wolf (Patricia) of Lake Village and Cleamon Wolf of Newport; a sister, Rosalie Schmidt; a daughter-in-law, Betty Wolf of Pleasanton, Texas; grandchildren, Jared Wolf (Kayla) of Lowell and Cortney Wolf Turner (Justin) of Jonesboro; great-grandchildren, Gage Wolf, Lawson Wolf and Channing Turner.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lorean Wolf; son, Cecil Wolf; grandson, Hunter Wolf; brothers, Ernest Wolf, Freddie Wolf and Alfred Carl Wolf; sisters, Katherine Meyer, Vera Bockelman, Minnie Sue Johnson and Clara Erickison.
A visitation will be 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Waldenburg Cemetery.
A graveside service will be 11:00 am Saturday at the cemetery with Rev. Joel Krogen officiating under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers are Jared Wolf, Dean Phillip Jr., Travis Phillips, Jim Hesse, Phil Hesse, Todd Bartholomew, Gary Zirbel, Jeff Zirbel, Pastor Jeff Junyor, Tommy Jones, Farrell Jones and Brian Mook.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
