Obituary

Mr. George Hershel Redwine of Jonesboro, departed this life Friday, December 30, 2016, at the St. Bernard's Medical Center, at the age of 99.
He was born September 20, 1917 in Red Oak, OK, the son of the late Joe H. Redwine and Jossie Faulk Redwine.
George was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the South Pacific during WWII and received a Bronze Star. He retired from the U.S.D.A. and loved working crossword puzzles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elvie Redwine in 2010, one son, Johnnie Redwine and Shirley, one daughter, Sue West, one grandson Johnnie Redwine and five siblings.
He is survived by one son, Lynn Redwine (Elizabeth) of McKinney, TX, three grandchildren, Dawn Riggs (Stephen) of Paragould, Chris Redwine of Richardson, TX and Stacy West of Corning, and five great grandchildren, Jacob Redwine, Katie Redwine, Gracie Redwine, Tawny Riggs and Rex Riggs.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jimmy Adcox officiating. Interment will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Tuesday evening, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
