Harrisburg- George " Buddy" McKellar, 76, passed Friday, July 28, 2023 at St.Bernards Medical Center.

He was born November 18, 1946 to the late George and Vergie Gather McKellar in Gilmore AR. George was a farmer, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting movies and loved farm animals. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons' Dennis McKellar of Jonesboro, Buddy (Jennifer) McKellar of Cherry Valley; a daughter, Rose Marie Daniel of Blue Springs, MS; sisters', Doris Jean McKellar of Harrisburg, Mary Linda Barber of Jonesboro, AR; eight grandchildren , Jonathan, Joshua, and Rachel McKellar, Falicia and Jordan Daniel, Jamie and Kimberly Dixon and Eric McKellar.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alma Jean Smith McKellar; ;daughter, Jenny McCleskey ; brother , Jerry McKellar, sisters', Jenetta and Georgia May McKellar; Gertie Fitzerald and Margaret Skaggs.

A celebration of his life will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August,2, 2023 at Gregg-Weston Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Dobbins officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gregg-Weston Funeral Home.
