Jonesboro- George Weldon Jordan Jr., 86, passed away October 6, 2018.

He was born January 4, 1932 in Horry County, South Carolina to the late George and Bessie Creel Jordan Sr. George proudly served in the United States Air Force. He had lived in Arkansas for over sixty years. He had worked as a traveling salesman and retired from Atlas Map Brokers where he was a cartographer (map maker).

He was also preceded in death by his wives, Marian Ruth Johnson Jordan and Lela Poe Jordan; a son, Terry Wayne Haney.

He was survived by his children, John Monroe Lashare (Roberta) of Jonesboro, Michael Haney (Sarah) of Pleasant Plains, Missouri, Marian Jeanette Spees (Eric) of Omaha, NB and Georgia Baldwin of Jonesboro; a brother, Danny Watts and a sister, Becky Saxon (Carl) all of South Carolina; eight grandchildren, Lisa Nicole Haney, Amber Adams, Jordan Matthew Haney, Jared Haney, Lindsey Haney, Bianca Weber, Beverly Cline, Valerie Edwards; eight great-grandchildren, Brandon Edwards, Dawson Edwards, Anna Cline, Emily Cline, Staley Weber, Jordan Haney Jr., Mercy Lopez and Gatlin Davis.

A memorial service will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Cornerstone Methodist Church in Jonesboro.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Autism Association of Northeast Arkansas.
