Fisher- George Wesley "G.W." Brown, 85, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born September 18, 1930 in Fisher to the late Bill and Opal Wixson Brown. He was a farmer who was known for his hard work. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Smith Brown; his children, Jenny Reid of Weiner, Georgia Lynn Burnett (Lenny) of Jonesboro, Vicky Clark (Steven "Boo") of Weiner, Wesley Brown of Fisher and Lisa Hogue (Marc) of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Brandon Reid, Jaclyn Burnett, Megan Brown (Jimmy), Hannah Simpkins (Dustin), Olivia Hogue and Griffin Hogue; two great-granddaughters, Madden Brown and Kennedy Beth Simpkins; a sister, Georgia Mary Dennis of Jonesboro. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan Glass. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be 2:00 pm Friday, April 22, 2016 at Fisher Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Junyor officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. A special thank you to the nurses at St. Bernards and Dr. Don Howard.
