Pocahontas- George D. Griggs, 80, passed away May 17, 2016 at Five Rivers Medical Center. George was born November 3, 1935 in Warm Springs, AR to Charlie and Pearl Creason Griggs. He is survived by children: Donny (Sherry) Griggs, Tammy (Robert) Kearby, Bill (Kathy) Flannery, Joyce (Bob) Lloyd; grandchildren: Donny Joe (Sarah) Griggs, Michelle (David) Byers, Amy (Devon) Holder, Lane Kearby, Jeff (Julie) Cochran, Kim Cochran, Wendy (Bobby) Eddings; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nelva Lee Griggs; 3 brothers: Leroy, Eugene, Willie Griggs; 2 sisters: Alta Marie Cox and Genevieve Lindsey. All services will be at McNabb Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, May 20, 2016 from 5:00-7:00pm. A funeral services will be Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2:00pm with Darrell Fears officiating. Burial will follow in Warm Springs Cemetery.
