Mr. George Earl Garrison of Harrisburg departed this life Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Heritage Square Nursing Home in Blytheville, at the age of 81.
He was born February 22, 1944, in Portageville, MO, the son of the late Ruben Kennard Garrison and Oretha Lawrence Garrison.
George was a farmer his entire life. He worked for over 38 years for Walls & Walls Farms. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid shade tree mechanic. He was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, Goerge was preceded in death by 8 siblings and 1 grandchild.
He is survived by 5 children, Earl Garrison (Rebecca), Mark Garrison (Fiancée Melinda), Debbie Pierce, Johnny Buzzard (Nicole), all of Harrisburg, and Angie Midgett of Hickory Ridge, a daughter-in-law, Nickie Garrison of Harrisburg, 5 sisters, Jeannie Loven of Jonesboro, Bonnie Pulley of Texas, Peggy Hays of Bono, Helen Garrison of Jonesboro, and Barbra Womble of Hughes,1 brother, Eddie Garrison of Harrisburg, 27 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Funeral services have been set for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg. Interment will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home just prior to service, from 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Veal, Joshua Parker, Paul Jarvis, Jerry Wayne Jarvis, David Pierce, Tyler Timbs and .
