Jonesboro - George Dillin, 73, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at his home.
He was born June 10, 1945 in Nettleton to the late Lacy and Virgie Dillin. He was an active member of the Nettleton Church of Christ and retired after thirty-four years from General Electric. George was a member of the Classic Chevy Club and enjoyed restoring his 57 Chevy and a 60 Chevy convertible. He will always be remembered as one of the most kind and generous men, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. The happiness and safety of his family was very important to him.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna Dillin; two daughters, Leah George and Crystal Harrah (Kevin); three grandchildren, Derek George, Jordan Harrah and Ethan Harrah; brothers and sisters, Della French (John), Freda Martin, Alice Vincent (Harvey), Jane Metheny (Danny), Doug Dillin, Leon Dillin and Tammy Tsui (Tony).
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clifton Dillin and Floyd Dillin.
A celebration of his life will be 10:00 am Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Young officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday, August 10, 2018 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
