Pocahontas-Genevieve Ida Sorg, 81, passed away December 24, 2009 at Five Rivers Med. Center.Born November 18, 1928 to the late Charles and Bernice (Brown) Garrison.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by Her husband James Sorg, a grandson Andy Sorg, brothers Bill Garrison, Walter Garrison, Hugh Garrison, Merle Garrison, Donald (Doc) Garrison, Nobel Garrison, Henry Garrison, Marvin Brown, and Irvin Brown, and sisters, Vera, Louis, and Thelma.She is survived by six sons, Jim and wife Ginny Sorg of Rockford Il., Steve and wife Debbie Sorg of Pocahontas, Jeff Sorg of Pocahontas, Alan Sorg of Jonesboro, Larry and Wife Pam Sorg of Pocahontas, Dale and Wife Tammy Sorg of Walnut Ridge. Two daughters Susann and husband Bill Sweetwood of Pocahontas, and Annette and husband Cecil Tackett of Pocahontas, one brother Oliver (Bud) Garrison of Woodstock, Il., two sisters, Mabel Harwood of Woodstock, Il. and Juanita Ashley of Paducah, Ky.Services will be held Monday December 28, at 10:00 am at St. Pauls Catholic Church with Father John Marconi officiating. Burial will follow in St. Pauls Cemetery.Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7, with a Rosary service at 7pm.
