Bono- Genevie Wright, 71, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at her home.
She was born February 10, 1949 in Lawrence County to the late Earl and Vivian Warner. She worked for Frolic Footwear for many years and then at Walmart. Genevie was strong in her faith and attended Washington Avenue Church of Christ. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma.
She is survived by a daughter, Shelia Stice (Larry) of Bono; a brother, David Warner (Brenda) of Paragould; a grandson, Steven Stice (Megan) of Swifton; two great-grandchildren, Annalee Stice and Ryder Stice and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Wright; three brothers, Chester Warner, Lester Warner and Dennis Warner and two sisters, Earlie Jean Hutsell and Bonnie Maple.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
A celebration of her life will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Steven Stice, Larry Stice, Lanny Walker, Daryl Walker, Shelby Tribble and Chris Warner.
All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Washington Avenue Church of Christ.
