Geneva May Taylor, 95, of Pocahontas passed away Friday, July 31, 2026 at Pocahontas Healthcare and Rehab Center.

She was born December 6, 1930 in the Elm Store community to the late Roy and Elva Copus Wrenfrow. Geneva was a dedicated homemaker and farmer. She was well-known for raising hogs and her hog calling abilities. She was an accomplished quilter, master gardener, and excellent cook. Her chicken and dumplings were a family favorite. She was a longtime member of the Bethany Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Elva Wrenfrow; husband, Arthur Taylor; son in law, Danny Mitchell; brother, J.D. Wrenfrow; and special friend and sister in law, Betty Wrenfrow.

Geneva is survived by her children, Danny Ray (Diann) Taylor of Water Valley, Alesa Mitchell of Pocahontas, Dennis Taylor of Ravenden, and Jeffrey (Lisa) Taylor of Bono; nine grandchildren, Rachel (Joe) Bell, Bryan (Kelley) Taylor, Jeremy (Melissa) Mitchell, Eric (Melissa Throesch) Mitchell, Jonathan (Cassie) Mitchell, Sarah Weathers, Willie (Hannah) Taylor, Emily Taylor, and Haley (Byron Burgess) Taylor; twelve great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren and one on the way; and many other relatives and friends.

All services will be held in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, August 3, 2026 from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 2 PM with Joshua Dement officiating. Burial will follow in Yadkin Cemetery.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Keith Saylors, Zachary Taylor, Zavior Taylor, Garrett Mitchell, Wyatt Mitchell, Hunter Mitchell, and Ray Taylor.

Geneva’s grandchildren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
