Obituary

Jonesboro- Geneva Pauline Fears, 78, died Tuesday night, November 17th, 2020 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born in Leachville, the daughter of the late William Brider and Rosie Bud Smith Fears. She lived in Paragould most of her life. Geneva worked at many types of jobs and became a hairdresser, worked at the Emerson factory, and her favorite was as a supervisor at the food court at ASU. While there, she made many friends with co-workers, faculty, and students. She will be remembered for her many acts of service for her family. She cared for her mother for many years and later her extended family members. She was member of the East Main Church of Christ in Paragould. In her last few years she was a resident of Lexington and Craighead Nursing Centers where she enjoyed her cokes and Oreos and her visits with friends and family and staff.

She is preceded in death by her four brothers, Billy Joe, Fred Alvie, Alford Ray and Terry Lynn Fears.

There will be a graveside service at Shiloh Cemetery in Paragould at 11 am Saturday, November 21, 2020 under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
