Pocahontas- Geneva Pauline Bates, 91 passed away October 17, 2015. Geneva was born April 6, 1924 in Pocahontas, AR to the late Jimmy and Golden Spencer Thompson. She is preceded in death by parents Jimmy and Golden Thompson, husband Lester Lavell Bates, brothers James Ray Thompson, Billy Bob Thompson, Carroll Thompson. She is survived by daughters Sharon Kay Roswell, Carolyn Fay Ward, and son Lester Ray Bates, sister JoAnn Ross, brother Leroy Thompson, several grand, great and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, October 19, 2015 at McNabb Funeral Home Chapel from 1-2 p.m. funeral service immediately following at 2 p.m. with Terry Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Sutton Cemetery.
