Jonesboro- Genelda Marie Stewart, 84, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born February 7, 1930 in Powhatan to the late Earl and Flora Yates Davis. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of Nazarene. She loved God and her family and was a former Sunday School teacher. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always remembered to send cards for birthdays and other special days. She is survived by her children, Steven R. Stewart of Jonesboro, Margo Stewart Miles (Timothy) of Sherwood and David Stewart (Jamie E.) of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Phillip Stewart (Renah) and Gary David Stewart (Jamie D.) all of Jonesboro, Samantha Hart (Justin) and Kristen Miles all of Sherwood; five great-grandchildren, Morgan Cook, Phillip Ryan Stewart, Gracie Stewart, Hunter Stewart and Atticus Hart; a brother, Jim Davis (Dorothy) of Black Rock; a sister-in-law, Thelma Davis of Walnut Ridge. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Ray Stewart; three brothers, Earl Davis Jr., Larry Davis, Harvey Davis and a sister, Jan Davis. A celebration of her life will be 10:00 am Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Hutcheson officiating. Burial will follow at Old Enterprise Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday, November 3, 2014 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home at 300 W. Matthews Ave. in Jonesboro. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Gary Allen, Randy Wright, Drew Walton, Dustin Diggs, Justin Hart and Timothy Miles and as honorary pallbearers, Bobby Baker, Butch Erwin.
