Obituary

Black Oak- Gary Lynn Pace, 70, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

He was born May 21, 1950 in Jonesboro to the late James Wade and Minnie Lee Pace. He loved to go deer hunting, fishing, cracking jokes and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Community Fellowship Church in Jonesboro. He retired after thirty-five years at Colson Wheel Plant in Monette.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Pace, David Pace and Murel Mangrum.

He is survived by his wife; Brenda Pace of the home; three children, Joey Bryan (Renee) of Monette, Jamie Pace (Angie Arrowood) Collierville, TN and Lisa Smith of Madison, MS; grandchildren, Ashlyn Pace and Brent Pace both of Brookland, Bethany Pace of Trumann, Briley Pace of Monette and Chandler Smith of Madison; a great-grandchild, Brennan Martin of Brookland; three sisters, Juanita Spivey of Lewisville, TX, Faye Emery of Caraway and Patti Jones of Little Rock.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Gregg Funeral Home.

A celebration of his life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Gregg Funeral Home with Dave Burgess and Chad Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Michael Mangrum, Merett Emery, Monte Emery, Mark Emery, MJ Emery, Jake Emery and Michael Emery.

All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
