Jonesboro- Freda Mae Worden, 85, formerly of Jacksonville passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born December 9, 1928 in Cash to the late Clayton and Effie Thetford Jordan. Mrs. Worden worked at the phone company, Franklin Electric and was a pet groomer. She loved to fish and crochet. She was a member of the Bono Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Loretta Thornton (William Lyvone) of Bono, Marsha Davis (Woody) of Hampshire, Illinois, Paula Bumgardner (Roger) of Navarre, Florida and Jimmy Worden (Sharon) of Cabot; a sister, Johnnie Gibson Lammers (Burnis) of Jonesboro; a brother, Edward Jordan (Edith Jane) of Springdale; six grandchildren, Laura Gale, Amanda Vickers, Shelly Copeland, Kyle Davis, Curtis Davis and Jared Bumgardner; eight great-grandchildren and a furry four-legged pet, Bo. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James E. Worden; a brother, Tommy Jordan and nephews, Tommy Jordan Jr and Darral Jordan. A celebration of her life will be 11:00 am Friday, August 1, 2014 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Woody Davis and Pastor Jeff Neeley officiating. Burial to follow at Herman Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Gregg -Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews Ave in Jonesboro. Honored to serve as pallbearers, Kyle Davis, Jared Bumgardner, Cody Vickers, Bill Copeland, Paul Gale and Larry Naylor, and as honorary pallbearers, James McKinney and Norman Pittman.
