Pocahontas- Freda Belle Welch, 98 passed away March 3, 2015 at Pocahontas Nursing and Rehab Center. Freda was born September 23, 1916 in McIlroy community to the late Ora Burl Rickman and Ethel Horsman. Freda is survived by two children, Jo Anne Gild and John Burl Welch, three grandchildren, Melanie Welch, Christopher Gallamore and Benjamin Gallamore, 10 great-grandchildren, nephews Bill Bailey, Robert and John Reese, and niece Carol Killion, and several cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband L. Glenn Welch. A memorial service will be held later this month in Ashburn, Virginia.
