Freda Martin, 84, passed away Saturday May 17, 2025 at St. Bernard's Hospice Care.

She was born July 12, 1941 to the late Lacy and Virgie Dillin. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Freda was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, cake decorating, and crocheting. She is survived by one brother, Leon Dillin of Jonesboro; four sisters, Della (John) French of Jonesboro, Alice (Harvey) Vincent, Jane Metheny, and Tammy (Tony) Tsui, all of Trumann; 11 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews, and seven great great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gerard S. Martin; son, Russ Elliott Martin; four brothers George Dillin, Doug Dillin, Clifton Dillin, and Floyd Dillin; as well as a niece, Tara Metheny.

Freda was a private person and that being how she lived her life, the family wishes to honor her by having a graveside service for her family and close friends. Services will be Thursday May 22, 2025 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Langford Bookout Funeral Home starting at 2 PM. Those wishing to leave a lasting memorial please consider the DAV and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Honorary pallbearers are her beloved nephews and great nephews, dear friends, Eddie Richards, Landon Richards, and special friend Charlie Pierce.
