Frank Barry Koons, 72, of Stokes passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

He was born December 29, 1946 in Cherokee Bay to the late Billy Moses and Lovis Marie Fields Koons. He was a hardworking, beloved family man who adored his kids and grandkids. He loved raising and tending to his quail. He was a member of the Stokes Church of Christ.

He was preceded in by his parents, one brother, and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Jean Ulmer Koons; Barry Jr (Angie) Koons, Chad (Katie) Koons, and Zack (Rachel) Koons all of Stokes; nine grandchildren, Justin (Molly) Koons, Matthew (Katelyn) Koons, McKenzie Koons, Trystan Koons, Hannah Koons, Sam Koons, Collin Koons, Myles Koons and Finn Koons all of Stokes; six great grandchildren, Madison Koons, Claire Koons, Jackson Koons, Weston Koons, Piper Koons, and Grayson Koons all of Stokes; three sisters, and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 9 AM-11 AM at the Stokes Church of Christ with a funeral service following at 11 AM with Jimmy Young officiating. Burial will follow in Brockett Cemetery.

Pallbearers include: Justin Koons, Matthew Koons, McKenzie Koons, Trystan Koons, Samuel Koons, and Collin Koons.
