Brookland- Frances Marcelle Agee, 85, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 in Little Rock. Born on September 15, 1927 in Valley View to the late Gus and Willie Mae Wimpy, she was a long standing resident of Jonesboro and a member of the First Methodist Church. She and her husband, Chester, owned and operated many local businesses including West Park Restaurant, Chetuck Bowling Lanes and Marcelle's in Indian Mall. Mrs. Agee retired to berry farming and enjoying her grandchildren and dog Scarlett. She is survived by her children, Marcia Kay Croteau and husband Joe of Ellicott City, Maryland, Chester Paul Agee, Jr. of Brookland and Andrew Anthony Agee and wife, Rena, of Brookland; seven grandchildren, Michael Agee and wife Amber of Brookland, Brian Agee and wife Jamie of Jonesboro, Larissa Agee of Brookland, Dr. Angela Croteau Marx and husband Greg of Endicott, New York, Michael Croteau of Boulder, CO, and Grahm Agee and Peyton Agee of Brookland; four great-grandchildren, Avery, Aaron, Isaac and Delaney Agee; two brothers and their wives, Paul and Opaline Wimpy and Gaylon and Kay Wimpy all of Valley View; two sisters, Kathleen Berry and husband Jim of Jonesboro and Lucille Wimpy of Valley View; two sisters-in-law, Cora Lee Wimpy and Eunice Wimpy both of Valley View. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Chester; a daughter, Toni Marcelle Agee; five brothers, DC, Pete, Thad, Archie and Bob Wimpy and a sister, Minnie Lou Reddick. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews Ave in Jonesboro. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Mark Wimpy, Perry Wimpy, Jocko Reddick, Terry Agee, Jerry Agee and James Clayton. Memorials may be sent to charity of the donor's choice.
