Monette- Florence Mae Goodson McCallister, 88, after a courageous battle with Covid, passed peacefully on December 28, 2022 at The Greenhouse Cottages of Belle Meade in Paragould.

Her love of life didn't come to an end with her death. Her loved ones will continue to honor her by living life to the fullest. The simplest pleasures in life brought her great joy, such as reading and puzzles. She was born Sept 18, 1934 in Paron and spent her life as a homemaker to her husband and children in several places, where no one ever left the house hungry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Fredrick Goodson and Etta Ray Goodson; husband, Carroll McCallister and two sons, Christopher Boyd and Carl Boyd.

She is survived by her brother, William "Sonny" Goodson (Joyce); sister, Wanda Blevins; her children, Clay Boyd, James Boyd (Jacque) and Sandra Morris (Shannon); step-children, Annetta and Steve Williams, Toni Shinnall; twenty-five grandchildren; forty-three great- grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

A memorial visitation will be from noon until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January, 14, 2023 at Monette First Baptist Church Family Life Building for friends and relatives.

Arrangements were entrusted to Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
