Flora Bell Griffin, 85, of Harrisburg, went to be with the Lord, October 9, 2016, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

She was born February 13, 1931 in Weona, the daughter of the late John Smith and Agnes Gregory Smith.

She will be remember as a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed gardening, crafts and staying busy.

She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband of 62 years James Griffin; a daughter, Linda Carol Altman, and a sisters, Johnnie Mae Baty.

She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Maddox and Husband Jim Ed of Harrisburg, a son; James W. Griffin and wife Debra of Harrisburg; two sister, Judy Davis of Harrisburg and Joanne Crawford of Nesbit, MS; six grandchildren, Teresa Allison, Kimberly Miller, Karen Phillips, Hiram Crumley, Donald Caraway and Lewis Griffin; eleven great-grandchildren, seven great-great- grandchildren and her best friend Georgia Smith.

Funeral services are set for 2 pm Wednesday October 12, 2016 at the First Assembly of God Auditorium in Harrisburg with Rev. Eddie Passmore officiation. Burial will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gregg-Weston Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 pm Tuesday at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Griffin, Alex Phillips, Caleb Saunders, Evan Fortson, Darren James and Kenny Bearden.
