Obituary
Gosnell- Evelyn Blanch Sharp, 99, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at Gosnell Therapy and Living Center.
Evelyn was born June 3, 1918 in Searcy to the late William Albert Sharp and Susie Davenport Sharp. She was an inspiration to all of her family. She lived an exemplary life and served her Heavenly Father every day. She loved to read and correspond with family and friends. She wrote poetry and journals in which she shared stories of her youth in rural Arkansas.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Sherrill; step-mother, Lola Ussery Sharp; two half-brothers, Orville T. Sharp and Delmar L. Sharp and a half-sister, Bonnie Sharp.
She is survived by two half-sisters, Velma Sharp and Louise Womble both of Gosnell; twelve nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday, November 13, 2017 at Ballew's Chapel Baptist Church in Grubbs with Pastor Danny Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Ballew's Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 pm Monday at the church.
