Eureta Louise Cantrell Chester was born the daughter of Noel Cantrell and Pearl Mitchell Cantrell on May 18, 1929, in Myrtle, Missouri, and departed this life in Myrtle Missouri, on August 27, 2021, at the age of 92 years, 3 months, and 9 days.
She was united in marriage on December 14, 1946 in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to James Russell Chester.
She is survived by her son, Rick Chester and wife, Lana of Myrtle, Missouri; two granddaughters, Kristi Chester of Myrtle, Missouri, Hollie Pitts and husband James of Myrtle, Missouri and one grandson, Brian Chester and wife Jessica of Myrtle, Missouri; six great grandchildren, Dusty Chester and wife Molly, Quaid Turner, Gracie Parrott and husband Orin, Christian Pitts, Renna Pitts and Cameron Pitts, one sister, Norma Hufstedler and husband Bob, and one nephew Barry Hufstedler and wife Kimberly; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Noel and Pearl Cantrell; husband and father of her children, Russell Chester; son, Gary Chester; second husband, Joe Minge; and granddaughter-in-law Christel Arasmith Chester.
Eureta was a long-time member of Myrtle First Baptist Church. She was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed cooking, painting, sewing, spending time with her family, and decorating her home.
She will be remembered as a devoted wife, and a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She will truly be missed by her family and church family.
Graveside service will be 1:30 P.M. Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Walnut Grove Cemetery with Dan Watson officiating. All services are under the care of McNabb Funeral Home.
Those honored to carry Eureta to her final resting place will be Brian Chester, James Pitts, Tony Thielemier, Dusty Chester, Barry Hufstedler, and Christian Pitts.
