Maynard - Euple Juanita Riney, Euple J. Riney, 83, of Maynard died Wednesday, Febraury 25th, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock. She valued education, but as a young girl, was not able to pursue further education. At the age of 50, she returned to school and received her high school diploma. She was a voracious reader, which led to her interest in writing. Her writing career took off after her children were grown, and she became well-known in the publishing field with two published books, Reflections and Euple's Song. She was also a columnist for the Storyteller Magazine that won her many awards and was a memeber of Ozarks Creative Writers in Eureka Springs. Mrs. Riney was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Daisy (Finney) Tutt, her husband of forty-seven years, Joseph S. Riney, one brother, Herbert Tutt of Maynard and one sister, Walene Caldwell of Columbus, Mississippi. Survivors include two sons, Mick Riney and wife Carolyn of Hillsdale, IL; Dick Riney and wife, Ruthan, of Maynard; three daughter, Rhonda Byrd and husband, Ted of Flanagan, IL; Regina Williams and husband, Tom of Maynard; Stephanie Buggica and husband, David of Cabot, AR; eleven granchildren, fourteen great granchildren, one nephew, and two great nephews and one great niece, along with many friends and relatives. Funeral services will be Monday, March 2, 2009, at 10:00 in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with David Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the Overby Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4-7, also in the Chapel.
