Obituary

Jonesboro- Junior Warnick passed from this life at the age of 73 on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at St. Bernard's Hospital. He was born on October 8, 1949 in his family home in Lawrence County surrounded by cotton fields.

Junior retired from GE in 2005 after over 25 years of service. He was a follower of Christ and attended Valley Ridge Baptist Church for over 20 years. Junior was known as a family man and his sister's "gentle giant". Through the years, he spent time talking with his dad and discussing the Razorbacks. His favorite activity was traveling with his wife on the many bus trips they took, seeing lots of wonderful, new places.

While Junior will be greatly missed by his family and friends, we know he is rejoicing in heaven reunited with his parents.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lora Mae Warnick; and brother-in-law, Gary Chappel.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gail Warnick of the home; his sister, Wilma Lee Chappel of Texarkana, TX; sons, Chris Flowers (Jennifer) and Aaron Flowers all of Jonesboro, Daron Flowers (Brandi) of Brookland and Jason Warnick (Kyla) of Russellville; grandchildren, Rebekah Flowers, Michael Flowers, Aiden Flowers, Ian Warnick, and Eli Warnick.

A celebration of his life will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Valley Ridge Baptist Church with Bobby Floyd officiating. Interment will follow at Herman Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until time of service at the church.
